Setting 'good' examples and "teaching' & liiving everyday morals
By Larry Mosher (not verified) on Wednesday, September 9, 2009This is a great short video about "Confronting Violence" from a Priest that is the trenches with the youth of today and Gangs and Vilence. A Great exammple to each of us to answer the comment, "What good can I do; I am only one person, the Violence is from many?"
Blessings of peace and all good,
Larry M.
Confronting Gang Violence Means..........
By Steve in AZ (not verified) on Wednesday, January 20, 2010For some reason, I can't open the video, but from what I've seen elswhere, I make this comment:
Confronting gang violence means confronting mamas who have a habit of having babies out of wedlock. Boys with no fathers seek one on the street. That usually means the corner drug dealer becomes "daddy".
Say it with me, brothers and sisters: "First comes love, then comes marriage, THEN comes a baby in a baby carriage!" NOT the over way around. Is it too much to ask priests to preach that message? Instead, we get priests like Father Pfleiger (sp?) in Chicago preaching that law-abiding gun owners are at fault for gang warfare.
