Reprints
Not-for-profit, educational use:
U.S. Catholic magazine grants one-time only permission to parishes, schools, and other not-for-profit entities to reprint any article if fewer than 75 copies are planned and ALL copies are freely distributed. These reprints may be used by parishes, schools, and other not-for-profit institutions for educational purposes only. No resale of any material is permitted.
Please advise U.S. Catholic by phone 312-544-8169 or via e-mail (editors@uscatholic.org) so that we may keep track of how U.S. Catholic is being used.
Reprints of MORE than 75 copies are permitted with permission of Claretian Publications at a rate of $50 per 1,000 copies or portion of 1,000 copies (i.e., 75 to 1,000 copies = $50; 1,000 to 2,000 = $100, etc.). Please use our convenient online form to order reprints and then remit the appropriate payment. You can contact our permissions department directly at 312-544-8169.
We require that the following information be included with each reprint: "Reprinted by permission of U.S. Catholic magazine (uscatholic.org). U.S. Catholic is published by the Claretians. For subscriptions, call 1-800-328-6515 or visit uscatholic.org.
Other uses:
U.S. Catholic magazine may also grant one-time or ongoing permission to reprint articles in other publications, electronic databases, or book compilations at its discretion, and according to the following conditions and rates:
Not-for-profit rates (all rates below are per article):
Publications with audited circulations below 10,000: $50
Publications with audited circulations above 10,000 but below 50,000 $100
Publications with audited circulations above 50,000 $200
For-profit rates:
Publications with audited circulations below 10,000: $100
Publications with audited circulations above 10,000 but below 50,000 $200
Publications with audited circulations above 50,000 $300
For-profit book publishers:
$400.
Electronic or web database (unless covered under alternative agreements):
$400.
Internet:
U.S. Catholic magazine may also grant permission to reprint articles in electronic form on Web sites at its discretion and according to the following conditions and rates:
Not-for-profit sites:
Sites with less than 200 unique IP visits per day $50 per month
$200 for permanent placement
Sites with less than 1,000 unique IP visits per day $100 per month
$300 for permanent placement
Sites with more than 1,000 unique IP visits per day $150 per month; $400 for permanent placement
For-profit sites:
Sites with less than 200 unique IP visits per day $100 per month
$400 for permanent placement
Sites with less than 1,000 unique IP visits per day $200 per month
$500 for permanent placement
Sites with more than 1,000 unique IP visits per day $300 per month
$600 for permanent placement
Proper acknowledgment (see formula of copyright line below) must be provided with all reprinted materials, and Internet reprints must include a link to the U.S. Catholic magazine's Web site address (http://www.uscatholic.org/).
