Catholic model sells virginity

Raffella Fico, 20, is a good Catholic who prays to Padre Pio every night, her brother says. 

She's also a show girl, model, an aspiring actress who appeared on Italian Big Brother, and a virgin--at least until somebody buys her virginity for 1 million Euros, the U.K. Telegraph reports [1]. She plans to spend the money on a home in Rome and acting classes.

It may be big news story when someone like Fico sells their virginity, but there is a word for this: prostitution. Every day, women turn selling sex in order to pay for their lives. The Telegraph says a San Diego woman also told Howard Stern she'd sell her virginity to pay for college.

What a sad world in which women have to sell themselves to "move ahead" in the world.
