A quick post to point you to this great picture of Pope Benedict XVI [1], looking as excited as a schoolboy, holding a meteorite.

The other highlight of the pope's trip to the new Vatican Observatory: cookies and orange soda! What a field trip!

It may seem that I'm poking fun at the pope, but I'm really not. Visiting an observatory, learning about astronomy, holding a meteorite, and having cookies and orange soda sounds like an amazing day to me, and I'm glad to see that the pope enjoyed it as much as I would!
