Daily Links, Feb. 10: I know you are, but what am I?
Will someone put Herman Cain back in timeout, please? Rick Santorum can join him.
The entire faculty and staff at a Los Angeles school are getting a timeout after allegations that two male teachers engaged in sexual misconduct with students.
Obama announced publicly today that the administration would allow religious groups exemptions from providing contraception coverage. Is it a compromise that works for everyone? (A better question: Can we talk about something else now? PLEASE?!)
The week ahead will certainly be full of reactions from bishops, individuals, and various organizations. So far the Catholic Health Association , social justice lobbyists NETWORK , the Catholic Democrats , and the Democrats for Life have all applauded the decision. New York Archbishop Timothy Dolan said that the compromise is "a first step in the right direction,” while Miami Archbishop Thomas Wenkis said, "[Obama] hasn't really addressed our concerns. I think the only thing to do is... to take back the whole thing."
Also getting mixed reactions is the Vatican’s decision to canonize Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha. “Many “Native Americans say this is an honor, but others feel it legitimizes the abuses of colonialism,” reports NPR.
