Thanks be to dads!

This Sunday we celebrate not only our Father in heaven but our fathers on earth. (Don't forget to buy a card!) Jesus taught us to address God as Abba, which means our dads can teach us a lot about God, whether for good or bad. Though her father initially pushed her away from God the Father, Mary Cleary Kiely writes in an essay [1], she eventually learned from him what it means to be God for others.
