Happy Fat Tuesday! Hope you are enjoying your day of eating and merriment, perhaps loading up on dessert before our journey into Lent's desert. Speaking of overindulging...there was this. In our latest issue, Bryan Cones motivates us to not be complacent this Lent. (Once you've read up on our latest features, be sure to let us know what you think! Send a letter to the editor at letters@uscatholic.org)

The Supreme Court is going to hear another big case: this time on affirmative action.

A judge has struck down a law in Omaha, NE that would have denied housing permits to illegal immigrants. On our blog today, Fr. Tom Joyce discusses new protections for foreign workers.

Huzzah! Canada's Supreme Court has decided that learning about world religions in school will neither confuse children nor violate religious freedom.

And, what would Daily Links at the end of February be like without a little Tim Tebow news (or rather, non-news)? Broncos back up Brady Quinn was reported as criticizing both Tebow's overt displays of faith and his skill on the football field. Quinn has apologized, saying that his comments were completely misrepresented.
