Alice Camille has a twist on the artificial tree.

Ok, so I’m trying to be green, see? And it’s the holiday season, which presents daily opportunities to go over the top with energy consumption, wanton consumerism, waste paper generation, and tree slaughter.

After hauling a live tree in a pot indoors and outdoors for eight years until it nearly broke my back, I finally decided to get a permanent light-weight plastic tree with year-round indoor potential. Only it’s not a tree. It’s a cactus.

The Christmas Saguaro has become my tradition. Merry Christmas and yippee ki-yay!
