Show and tell: Six ways to teach your children the faith
Handing on the faith to one’s children is a learn-as-you-go thing.Often you find your heart in your mouth, like the day you drove off from the hospital with your first baby and thought wildly, “They’re letting us take this kid out of here?

To eternity and beyond! Faith and space
Forget about terrestrial matters for a moment and think outside the blue planet. King and I: Martin Luther King Jr.
In taking Martin Luther King Jr. off the pedestal, he becomes a greater inspiration to work for justice for all.   At Marquette University I teach a course on Martin Luther King's ethics and faith. I face two obstacles when teaching about King. The first is that we are too acquainted with him.

The gift of Guadalupe
Our Lady of Guadalupe is for all Catholics.  To understand Our Lady of Guadalupe--the powerful story of the 16th-century apparition of Mary to the Indian Juan Diego outside what is now Mexico City--Jeanette Rodriguez says we must first enter into the experience of near-annihilation that the indigenous people faced at the hands of the Spanish invaders.
