What are you thankful for this year?
At U.S. Catholic we thank God for every smooth deadline, for new editor Meghan Murphy-Gill to help us make each deadline smoother, and especially for our readers. We are thankful for your support and readership and for the opportunity to learn more about you through our website, Twitter, and Facebook. And we want to continue to hear from you. Please tell us what you are most thankful for this year.
A final thank you to the Claretians, who for the past 75 years have allowed editors like us to continue this amazing ministry in which we get to read and write about our faith every day. We will be celebrating our 75th anniversary with them, and you, throughout 2010.

A New Year..
By Catholic C (not verified) on Tuesday, January 11, 2011Even though this thread is from Thanksgiving 2 years ago, I thought I’d express what I was thankful for this past year. 2010 was definitely a year of trials, but there was some good in it, too. I celebrated my grandmother’s 80th with the whole family, started a wonderful job, made new friends, got in touch with old ones, and this Christmas my immediate family was able to spend the holidays together for the first time in 4 years. Because I know the future will not be easy, going into the new year I will keep in mind the opening lines to the serenity prayer, “God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the Courage to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference.”
Thankfulness
By Mary Ann (not verified) on Saturday, November 28, 2009I am so grateful for the connections with the Sisters of Charity of BVM who not only taught me about my faith as a youth, but have strengthened my fait as an adult...with wisdom, trust, hope and laughter even when they face challenges by hierarchy...and of course they are always strengthened by prayer...what a role model for us laity.
I'm thankful for my new job
By Meghan Murphy-Gill on Wednesday, November 25, 2009I'm thankful for my new job with U.S. Catholic! So far, I can only echo Bryan's sentiments: the staff here definitely energetic, imaginative, and fun to work with!
A full staff!
By Bryan Cones on Tuesday, November 24, 2009It may sound mundane, but right now I'm thankful for having a full staff--and it helps that they are all energetic, imaginative, and fun to work with.

Thanksgiving
By MaryJo H. Matheny (not verified) on Tuesday, November 24, 2009With so many people and things dead, lost, gone, out of touch, beyond reach, away, or changed, it is good to be able to use my computer to stay alive to the present. It
is good to keep up with family and friends, to be part of the world conversation and to be able to exchange thoughts and do activism on lin, all without leaving my home. I thank God for all of that.
This year I am most thankful
By Jean (not verified) on Tuesday, November 24, 2009This year I am most thankful for the health of my family. My husband and I are among very few of our friends who still have both of our parents in reasonably good health (all four of them). We know that this won't last but consider ourselves very blessed that we've had them so long. Our 3 sons are all healthy teenagers. Despite a recent ruptured appendix and an even more recent trip to the ER with severe pneumonia, they are remarkably healthy and we are truly blessed by that as well.
