Printer-friendly version Comments A comparison of Catholics and Protestants It depends on what you mean by "welcoming". Protestant churches are much more aggressive in recruiting new members, but I prefer the Catholic approach. Protestant churches seek new faces out and smother them. Catholic churches let people see what it's all about with no pressure. I appreciate the Catholic way. Welcoming I agree wholeheartedly with babyching -- the Catholic church is very welcoming without pressuring or smothering, and I prefer that approach as well. In fact, it has a lot to do with why I have remained. So long as you share our ideas... As a traditional Catholic, I have never felt welcomed in a run-of-the-mill liberalised Parish. Indeed I have been driven out. It very much appears that the "all are welcome" idea has an unspoken codacil: "So long as you are progressive and liberal." Appalling. Which is why I have refused to vote in this poll. Need to have a daily prayer plan If you have a daily prayer plan then you won't feel alone in your struggles ... Jesus will be with you.
