Catholic, Muslim friends bond over Ramadan fasting

As Ramadan began at the start of this month, Muslims across the world began practices of fasting and prayer.

Oregon high school senior Jordan Pahl is among the millions of people refraining from eating or drinking during the day for the entire month of Ramadan. Pahl, a Catholic, is fasting for Ramadan for the second year in a row, after choosing to observe the holiday with her best friend Dahlia Bazzaz, who is Muslim.
