Madonna offends again

A Madonna concert on a Marian feast day? That's simply wrong, a number of Catholics in Poland protested this past weekend.

“Madonna sneers at Jesus Christ, the symbol of the cross and all Christians,” said Zygmunt Wrzodak, a former member of the Polish parliament, according to this blog post.

Certainly a group with this sentiment probably would have protested Madonna any day of the year. It's a shame that the concert had to fall on the Feast of the Assumption in Catholic Poland, but I'm sure she and her managers don't consult the Catholic calendar when planning international trips.

The protests also didn't stop adoring fans from attending the concert and singing Happy Birthday to Madonna, BBC reports.

Is this a case for "The unimportance of being earnest" or is Madonna a threat to our faith?
