Don't let worry kill you off - let the church help

I won’t try to fool you, but to add some levity to your April Fool’s day, here’s some real stuff that’s hard to believe.

First, some odd new stories—surprisingly true:

Nuns benefit from the recession, move into a McMansion.

Abortion provider’s plane crashes into cemetery—with memorial for the unborn. It’s sad that he lost his family, but of all the places to crash, this is strange.

What’s in your closet? At a Minnesota church it was a $35,000 piece of original artwork. At the British Museum it was 39 relics in a 12-century altar.

Forget the Manischewitz wine, bring on the Kosher tequila!

Now, for a good chuckle, check out the church bloopers video referenced in The unimportance of being earnest. Or read bulletin bloopers such as the title of this blog and this:

Remember in prayer the many who are sick of our church and community.

morgage, utilities, propane,......Cancer

Father, you are my last hope. I've had several strokes and numerous TIA's. The end of June, this year I had open heart surgery. By the way I am female, 44 years old and have had 2 strokes, many TIA's 2 heart surgeries and 1 open heart surgery. I have lost 2 babies. And my parents and brother. Now after my mentally handicapped brother who is 49 but acts more like an 8 year old has had prostrate cancer. They operated but the cells got out so now he has cancer in his stomach and has to have 67 radiation treatments. 5 Days a week. we live 50 miles from the nearest town(one way) and I have looked for help every where, there is just none out there. Father I am 2 morgage payments behind, the utilities are on shut off and we need propane bad.I don't know what to do Father, you're my last hope. We can't pay the bills let alone the gas money to get him to treatment.Father could you please pass this along amost your other priests. Maybe I was thinking you could start a fund for Joe.
God Bless you Father
