Kevin Clarke may be ready to deal with the realities that lie ahead of us, but if you are still reflecting on the power of last night's historic election (not matter how you voted), you might enjoy this poem--Maya Angelou's poem from Clinton's inauguration. (Go to the link to read it.) A friend of mine who lives in New York sent along the site that posted it today and it seems more appropriate now than ever. Read, enjoy, and then go back to solving the myriad problems our nation faces.

When FOCA is passed and abortion is shoved down our throats... we'll make lots of poems..
God I voted for this guy
'cause he was pretty fly
abortion ain't no big thing
that baby didn't want to sing
i spoke for that baby today
when i cast my vote to stray (from Catholic doctrin)
now i know your sad, too much to bare
but we're getting national health care!

Some of you are the most pathetic Catholics out there......
