Alice in the Holy Land

From January 17 until January 27, 2015, U.S. Catholic and Catholic Theological Union cosponsored a Holy Land pilgrimage that was led by CTU’s eminent scripture scholar and Jerusalem expert, Franciscan Father Leslie Hoppe. U.S. Catholic’s popular scripture columnist Alice Camille also accompanied the group and led prayers, reflections, and discussions. She filed blog posts from the trip.

Here is a collection of the posts she wrote while on the trip:

Jerusalem feels like home

Three shrines, three events

O little town of Bethlehem

The hidden truth

Church of the Holy Sepulchre

Our night in the empty tomb

Next stop, the Dead Sea

Wedding vows in Cana

The principles of pilgrimage

A harsh and beautiful land

Sunrise over the Galilee

Leave something, take something
