Father John Molyneux, C.M.F. joined the Claretians in 1991 and was ordained on June 14, 1997. He has been editor-in-chief of U.S. Catholic since January 2003.

Meghan Murphy-Gill joined the U.S. Catholic staff as the managing editor in 2016. She is a writer and editor specializing in food, travel, culture, and, of course, religion and spirituality. Her writing has appeared in Entertainment Weekly, New York Magazine, and the Chicago Tribune. She’s the former editor of Drive Thru, Gapers Block’s food and dining section and has previously served as assistant editor, associate editor, and web editor of U.S. Catholic. Meghan holds a B.A. in Journalism from James Madison University and an M.A. in Theology from Catholic Theological Union, where she was a Bernardin Scholar.

Emily Sanna joined U.S. Catholic as associate editor/web editor in 2015. Prior to coming to the magazine, she worked as a freelance editor and writer in both educational and academic publishing. Emily holds a B.A. in Religion from Oberlin College and an M.Div from Yale Divinity School, where she studied theology.

Laura Whitaker is a new member of the U.S. Catholic staff, having recently joined the magazine in 2016 as an associate editor. Prior to embarking on a new adventure in the wilds of Chicago, she spent several years in the urban jungle of New York City where she worked as a book editor and in marketing for several publishing houses. The things she treasures most in the world are innovative, conversation-starting stories; her miniature schnauzer, Pepper; her exceptional family/friends; superb romance novels; and an excellent glass of wine.

Sarah Butler joined U.S. Catholic in 2014 as an assistant editor. Prior to joining the magazine team, Sarah was an editorial assistant at Chicago magazine and Milwaukee magazine, and was a writer for the Southern Poverty Law Center's magazine Teaching Tolerance. She has a B.A. in journalism and English from Marquette University.

Rosie McCarty joined U.S. Catholic in 2015 as an editorial assistant. Prior to joining the magazine team, Rosie served for a year as an Augustinian Volunteer with Catholic Charities in Chicago. She graduated from Villanova University with a B.A. in English and French.
Editorial Intern, U.S. Catholic
Shanna Johnson recently joined U.S. Catholic in the start of 2016 as an editorial intern. She is currently a senior at Loyola University Chicago studying journalism and art history. She has written for the Loyola Phoenix and has contributed to Mosaic Magazine, a yearly publication on social justice. In her free-time she enjoys long walks through the grocery store and binge-watching Grey's Anatomy.
