One would wonder that there is so much interest in "returning" to the Latin mass?

I suggest this poll has been hi-jacked by the ultra-traditionalists who mistake ignorance, non-participation and self-flagellation during the penitential rite as "reverence"

There is no such thing as "hijacking" a poll. We all have a right to vote, and these are the results. Is the poll only legit when the choice you want wins? How is it acceptable that only your closed-minded U.S. Catholic progressives get to vote? Shouldn't everyone who reads the article have the opportunity to express their views?

By the way, the 400+ votes for the progressive choice tells me that there has been "hijacking" on the part of the progressive Catholics. Everyone knows U.S. Catholic doesn't usually get more than 80 votes total in any of these polls.

"There is no such thing as "hijacking" a poll."

There is such a thing and this poll is clearly a case of that. Previous "featured" polls on here had only several hundred total votes, yet this poll "miraculously" has thousands of votes.

Moreover, when the poll had around 1,000 votes, it was only something like 3% for the "easy to understand English" option. With regard to statistical polling, an item like this wouldn't jump up to what is now 14% if the poll was accurate.

Someone clearly came in and manipulated the poll by voting over and over again (and yes there is a way to do it). The fact that the English option jumped from the 3% to the 14% if anything illustrates the large percentage of people whose voice has been drowned out by the "bulk" voting. And while this may have been a case of bulk voting for this option as well, it isn't nearly as likely since the bulk voter wouldn't have quit with only 14%.

In short, this poll has zero validity for any of the 3 options.

BTW... it was pretty funny how you first insist there is no such thing as hijacking and then later insist that it has been hijacked by the progressives. Classic! So I'll quote you, "Is the poll only legit when the choice you want wins?" lol

Peace!

"Previous "featured" polls on here had only several hundred total votes, yet this poll "miraculously" has thousands of votes."

Well the reason behind that is that the poll was made known to people outside of this tiny shell of liberal like-minded incestation, and people with different opinions than your own came here to voice them. What's the point of these polls if you're only going to permit the progressives to make their opinions known?

"Someone clearly came in and manipulated the poll by voting over and over again "

Actually, no. Most are probably different people.

"In short, this poll has zero validity for any of the 3 options."

When the outcome doesn't go your way...

"BTW... it was pretty funny how you first insist there is no such thing as hijacking and then later insist that it has been hijacked by the progressives. Classic! So I'll quote you, "Is the poll only legit when the choice you want wins?" lol"

No sir or madam, just pointing out your hypocrisy.

And with your spirit.

LOL... get a clue and enter the world of reality. So let me get this straight... of all the polls on here, just this one was made known to people outside of this tiny liberal shell and others came to voice their opinion? hahaha That's hilarious for you to even imply such a thing. You are living in a world of delusion. Just accept reality that this poll has zero level of accuracy.

"Actually, no. Most are probably different people."

LOL

"When the outcome doesn't go your way..."

LOL... that's why I said ALL three options, not just one nor two of them.

"No sir or madam, just pointing out your hypocrisy."

LOL... what are you talking about? What do I have to do with any of that?

In the end, please realize that delusion is a serious issue listed in the DSM. Being delusional to reality is not healthy. If you were a fan of Saddam Hussein, you'd actually believe that all 11,445,638 Iraqi's voted for him as President in 2002 which topped the 99.96% of the vote he received in 1995. Get on board the reality train and use some critical thinking skills instead of making these wild "justifications" in your own mind.

Peace.

Umm, you can only vote once...

Unless you know a way to do otherwise, in which case I would question every poll on this site that goes in the progressive direction.

Classic!" un truth, You use this flawed logic in almost everyone of your attacks on people, I was starting to wonder if you actually knew how weak and funny it was but I see that you do understand how it sounds when you use it yourself.

OR perhaps sister you are just wrong in your assumptions. Perhaps you are reading into the Latin Mass all your prejudices and the poll is real. Just perhaps you are the one that is out of touch? Have you ever misjudged anything?

What people often forget is that the Mass is globally more incomprehensible if we take into account that people travel more. Here in Germany, when I take my mother to Mass when she visits, she would not understand much. Yet she can of course still participate in her heart, even though she cannot say the responses. So if we are to accept that she can do this with the current situation and still be engaged with the Holy Sacrifice, who can say that she could not do this if it were in Latin? Furthermore, if we had kept it in Latin after Vatican II rather than going off the rails a bit, she would be able to participate MORE, because she would recognise everything no matter where she was(except perhaps the homily).
